Our Story
We are a small business dedicated to the cause of breast cancer, and rooted in Christ.
This story begins with a woman whose strength and courage have shaped not only her own life but the lives of many others around her—my mom. In November of 2019, her world was turned upside down when she received the devastating diagnosis: stage 1A invasive ductal carcinoma, a form of breast cancer. For most, the news would have been a shock, a heartbreak that would take time to process. But for my mom, there was something deeper that anchored her. She knew she had more than just doctors, nurses, and loved ones surrounding her. She had the grace and guidance of a powerful God walking with her through this.
The days that followed moved quickly. On December 30th, just as 2019 was nearing its close, she underwent surgery. It was a bittersweet way to end the year, but my mom felt a sense of relief—a feeling that she was starting 2020 with the chance to rebuild. Though the surgery left her physically weak, her spirit remained unshakable. Her smile, though worn, still radiated strength, and her courage remained as bright as ever.
As she began follow-up treatments and radiation appointments, she found herself passing the time at the hospital with a simple but meaningful activity: jigsaw puzzles. It was something she had loved to do as a child but hadn’t touched in over 40 years. The puzzles, scattered across a table in the waiting room, became her unexpected solace. A group of friends who took her to these treatments sat with her, quietly but patiently, putting together the pieces until the puzzle was complete. And my mom, ever the optimist, couldn’t help but express her gratitude. She would often say, "I am thankful for answered prayers, and for my friends who amused me by staying long hours after treatments to put puzzles together. You are my people!"
At home, her love for puzzles didn’t stop. It became a quiet refuge, a simple joy she could still enjoy even while recovering. Little by little, the puzzles helped her through the hardest days. This spark of passion lit a fire in her. Slowly, steadily, she began to learn the art of handcrafting her own puzzles. The process wasn’t easy, but the satisfaction of creating something so unique, something that held so much meaning, filled her with a newfound strength. And it was from this quiet passion—this fierce determination—that I, her daughter, found my inspiration. Watching her fight, watching her create, watching her turn a time of darkness into something beautiful—it sparked something in me. That’s when I knew: I wanted to help her bring this journey into the world.
So, we decided to start a small business, one that carries not just puzzles, but purpose. We are dedicating 20% of the profits from each sale to support breast cancer survivors, a way for my mom to give back for all the blessings she’s received, for the strength she’s found, and for the miracle of still being here with us today.
You might wonder how my mom is doing now. Well, today, she is free from cancer. She works tirelessly, continuing to live a life filled with purpose and joy. Her puzzle collection—pieces crafted by talented cutters she admires—fills an entire closet. Every month, she holds puzzle nights with friends who’ve stood by her through the hardest moments. And now, she’s pouring her heart into building this business, one puzzle at a time, in honor of those who are still fighting, in honor of those who may never have the chance to stop fighting.
Each puzzle she hand-cuts is unique, just as each survivor’s journey is unique. And with every piece she puts together, she is reminding others that they are not alone. That even in the darkest moments, there’s hope, there’s strength, and there’s a community ready to stand beside them.
So thank you, Mom. And thank you to all the survivors, fighters, and warriors who’ve faced breast cancer in one form or another. Your strength, determination, and unbreakable will inspire us all in ways words can never capture. You are the reason we do this. You are the reason we keep going. You are the reason we will always keep fighting!
